This really is good news!

Not only is it the eve of a brand new year but next year is a leap year. The good news is that we all have an extra day. So rather than waste it why not plan something really special for that day?

So get your diary out and put a big circle around Friday 29th February 2008.

How do you plan to spend this day?

Perhaps we could have a special blogday event?

Why not use the comments box for any suggestions?

well we are using the day for our works trip. Instead of a Christmas meal in the busyness of December, we are instead taking a day in the mountains to ski, sledge, walk, or whatever all together. Should be good

Me, already planned, written in, Feb 29th "Sit back and consider proposals of marriage", obviously I will have to turn down many of them and this could be a great dissapointment for them, but, that's life. SmileyCentral.com

ah ha, of course. In a leap year, the woman may propose. I did take advantage of that myself many years ago.

Goodness it's a leap year! Hooray -an extra day :) Take the day off and spend it with loved ones maybe, have a blog party -perhaps people could propose on here?

Feb 29th should be a day without any cars or vans or buses, no transport on the roads whatsoever. All planes should be grounded, no trains running. If you can walk to work or school, then do it, if not then get on yer bike. Those whose work involved driving, bus, train, delivery drivers, will get the day off. No pollution on 29/02/08, well that's what I'd do anyway.
